Wine has lots of rules and regulations and if you want to say your wine is from a particular place then you have to follow the rules of that place. Fabien made this wine as a blend of local varieties Jurancon noir, Malbec, Merlot and Valdiguie but the authorities told him to take out the Jurancon Noir. Fabien did what any self respecting winemaker would do and cursed them out of it while keeping his blend intact. Boy are we glad he did. This wine is brimming with energy and feels so ready to pounce. The juicy core of dark fruits grounds the wine while hints of spice, herbs and superbly balanced texture keep us on our toes and salivating.
